INCESA organizes and carries out the following activities:
(1). RDI activities through:
a) Research and development and innovation programs with national or international funding;
b) Contracts and collaborations with economic agents, organizations, public administration, etc;
c) Other funded scientific research activities with legal entities or individuals.
(2) Activities related to RDI activity:
a) Technical assistance, consultancy, expertise, provision of scientific, technical and technological services to individuals and / or legal entities;
b) Development of research and development programs and strategies and participation in the elaboration of the strategy in the field of research and development;
c) Development of forecasting studies, substantiation notes, specifications, design topics, feasibility studies, analyzes and documentation;
d) Internal and international technical and scientific cooperation activities;
e) Activities on standardization, measurement, testing and quality certification of products intended for approval and ( micro ) production or technology transfer;
f) Technological transfer, intellectual property consulting and other legal, procurement and heritage activities;
g) Quality assessment activities and / or results of scientific research and technological development;
h) Computer science, communications, databases, big data, artificial intelligence, cyber security, IoT etc.
i) Microproduction activities and services, including metrological;
j) Development of procedures, quality norms and control for carrying out technical and economic activities;
k) Development and application of quality assessment and management programs;
l) Activities aimed at information exchange, documentation and dissemination: organization of congresses and symposia, organization of mobility, etc.;
m) Editorial activities. editing and printing for studies, reports, summaries, specialty books, technical books, training
n) Communication, translation and interpreting activities;
o) Services related to the relationship with the socio-economic and cultural environment;
p) Training, training and specialization activities and training activities;
q) Participation in the elaboration of the regional development strategy.
Organizational structure of INCESA
(1) INCESA consists of elementary RDI units called RDI laboratories. CDI laboratories are established / disbanded according to the dynamics of INCESA activities.
(2) Several homogeneous CDI laboratories form INCESA RDI centers. The RDI centers are established / disbanded, depending on the dynamics and specifics of INCESA activities.
(3) In addition to CDI centers, INCESA also includes:
•Technology transfer center – CTT INCESA;
•Communication, translation and interpreting center;
•Center for relations with the socio-economic and cultural environment;
•Service center for the project: consulting, assistance and management
•Training and organizational training center.
(4) The driving functions in INCESA are:
a) General Manager, Scientific Manager and Economic Manager of INCESA, who ensures the executive management of INCESA;
b) Head of INCESA centers, each ensuring the executive management of the subordinate center;
c) Head of INCESA laboratories, subordinated to one laboratory each;
(5) The General Manager of INCESA is appointed by decision of the Rector of the University of Craiova, after consulting the Board of Directors. He shall appoint the Scientific Manager, the Economic Manager and the Heads of the INCESA Centers.
(6) INCESA is headed and represented on the Board of Directors of the University of Craiova by the General Manager of INCESA. The operation of INCESA is provided by the Board of Directors, which includes the General Manager, Scientific Manager and Economic Manager of INCESA and the Heads of the INCESA Centers.
